Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)

Our IAG Team offer expert and detailed information on the many programmes available at Goole College to help you make the right choice for you now and your future. Student Finance

The Student Finance Team is another of our dedicated support services. Here you can receive accurate, up to date and clear advice on the many different funds that are available to you. They can assist you with any finance related query you may have, whether this is applying for free meals, free transport or queries regarding your course fees. Careers Advice and Information

Our Team of Student Advisors are able to give impartial Careers Information to 16-18 year olds via an appointment service. This can be arranged by contacting our main reception on 01405 762420.

Counselling Service

Need to talk? Free and confidential counselling services are available to Hull and Goole College students who need to talk about mental health, stress or other issues affecting them.

Hull College Counselling Service provides a confidential and professional counselling service for students of Hull and Goole Colleges. Students can refer themselves and can come for counselling around any issue, whether it is personal or related to college.

Additional Support

Our Student Support doesn’t just apply to courses and financial issues, when you study at Goole College you will also receive the benefit of a Personal Tutor, who will work with you throughout your programme, and help to make sure you stay on target to achieve everything that you want to.   

Our Student Coaches, who work alongside the tutors to supplement regular study sessions with group and on-to-one sessions, will also help to identify any vulnerable students and develop joint strategies to support them.

The support available to students with a physical or learning disability has been widely recognised as excellent, and the college has its own specialist team of support workers to provide dedicated support.

Students who may need assistance with English, maths or language skills can also gain support from a highly trained team of specialists, and we can assist you right away from the first stage of application and throughout your time with us.
