Year 10 is a crucial time for young people to explore the career pathways available to them.
Students of 14-16 College benefit from a range of activities throughout their time with us designed to provide advice and guidance about options post-16. Developing employability skills and preparing for the world of work is the cornerstone of our careers programme, with students being provided with numerous opportunities to interact with local employers and apply what they learn to their studies. Work experience is an integral part of this process and all students will have the opportunity of a two-week placement with an employer in a career area that interests them. This will give them an unrivalled experience of working in a real life environment.
The College also provides information through a dedicated resource designed to give young people a flavour of what might interest them in the future, ascertaining their skills and interests as well as displaying details about various sectors and industries in the area. Click here to find out more.
