Overview

There are lots of positions and opportunities out there in the health and social care industry. To help you to identify the field which appeals most to you, the Level 1 Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings Study Programme introduces you to a range of health and care settings, from looking after the young through to helping those with learning disabilities or mental health issues.

You’ll understand the protection and safeguarding measures that you’ll need in the sector, learning about the values and principles of the health and social care industry.

You’ll do work experience as part of the programme to grow your practical skills and knowledge. You can progress from the Programme into a Level 2 course in health and social care, or early years education and care.
