Working in a hair salon is a great role for those with an interest in looking great and helping people feel good about themselves. The Level 2 Hairdressing Diploma Study Programme teaches you the skills that you need to be able to work in a commercial salon environment. You’ll learn about cutting women and men’s hair, consultation and client care, how to style hair using a variety of techniques, and how to carry out chemical services on clients including a variety of colouring and perming techniques. The course also teaches you key employability skills for the hairdressing industry as well as functional skills in maths and English to help you find a job. From here, you can work in a salon as a junior stylist, or you can continue your training up to Level 3.
