Overview

Growing your skills as a welder, the Level 3 Fabrication and Welding Study Programme teaches you advanced practical knowledge as you progress into more technical welding, including MAG, arc, manual, TIG and metal welding. You’ll learn about the welding industry and the range of careers open to you once you have qualified as well as studying maths, English and our Employability Skills Passport to prepare you for your future career. Work experience also boosts your employability and can lead to earn as you learn opportunities in local industry. There are many opportunities both locally and internationally, on and offshore for qualified welders. You could also move into further studies at university if you choose, studying for a degree in engineering or site management.
