Building up your practical skills and knowledge to start you on your journey to becoming a welder or associated tradesman.

The Level 1 Fabrication and Welding Study Programme gives you a basic understanding of a range of skills that you’ll need to know in the industry, including oxy gas fuel cutting and metal inert gas welding. You’ll also work to boost employability skills such as communication of technical information and working as part of a team, preparing you for some of the situations you may face when joining the engineering industry.

You will do work experience in the form of live project briefs, working with local employers and learn skills that will lead to many future opportunities.

This programme can lead into Level 2 Welding and Fabrication and beyond, finding opportunities worldwide as a welder or engineer with further studies.
