Hull College Group has been successfully registered as an Approved Apprenticeship Training Provider, listing HCUK Training as an official supplier to levy paying employers.
Due to the recent changes in how Apprenticeships are provided, all organisations wishing to provide apprenticeships must be listed on the register, with 3 types of status’s available including ‘Main Provider’, Employer Provider’ and ‘Supporting Provider’.
Following the application process, the entry to the register now means Hull College Group is officially recognised as a ‘Main Provider’ and as of 1 May 2017, are able to:
- deliver apprenticeship training to employers that will use the apprenticeship service to pay for apprenticeship training
- deliver apprenticeship training to their own apprentices, or apprentices of their connected companies’, if they will use the apprenticeship service to pay for apprenticeship training
- deliver apprenticeship training as a subcontractor
The register (RoATP) provides a list of approved training providers to employers using the apprenticeship service, and employers are not able to use providers who are not registered.
To be listed on the RoATP also shows that the organisation has undergone a thorough application process with the SFA, who take in to account capability, quality and financial health, due diligence and the ability to provide high quality training.
