Goole College understands the importance volunteers play in the local community and recently hosted an event to raise awareness and provide information on how to get involved with local organisations.

On Wednesday 26 April, organisations such as accessible music theatre Castaway Goole, VYPER (Volunteering for Young People within East Riding), garden maintenance service ‘The Green Team’, Volunteen, British Heart Foundation and The Army Reserve visited the college to speak to students and provide information about becoming a volunteer.

The event was organised by the Goole College Information, Advice and Guidance Team and the Careers Team who took the opportunity to promote the benefits of volunteering to our staff and students.

The event was well attended and more sessions are planned for the future.

Any organisation interested in taking part in future Volunteering Events should contact 01405 762420 or email gooleinfo@hull-college.ac.uk
