On Tuesday 20 June, Goole College hosted their annual awards evening for the students and staff.

The event was made up of many awards, celebrating a variety of achievements and milestones with some extraordinary talent on show. Chief Executive of the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership, Kishor Taylor, acted as key note speaker, and talked to the students about the opportunities available to them in the Humber area, emphasising how important education was to the local employers.

Several local employees supported the event by sponsoring categories such as the BMW Engineering Award, DRAX STEM Award, Croda Innovation Award and the Goole Times 14-16 Award.

Further categories included the 100% attendance certificates, Maths and English awards, 16-18 award, 19+ Award presented by Caron Wright Principal, and for the first time, the Community Pride Award and the Lauren Stevenson Award.

Many of the college students have successfully gained places at prestigious universities such as Leeds, York and Hull. At Goole College there is always something for everyone from Foundation Studies to Foundation Degrees. The college is proud of its warm and friendly atmosphere and prides itself on its excellent customer service.
